1. Introduction
The User IP Restriction & Login History module (do_user_ip_restricted_history) enhances Odoo security by allowing administrators to restrict ERP access based on designated IP addresses per user. It also tracks and logs users' login IP history, improving auditability and access control.
2. Key Features
IP-Based Access Control: Set specific IP addresses for each user. Only logins from those addresses are permitted.
Login Tracking: Log and display user login attempts, including their IP addresses, for monitoring and audit purposes.
Alert Mechanism: Unauthorized login attempts from non-allowed IPs trigger warning messages.
User-Friendly Setup: Administrators can configure IP restrictions per user via intuitive tree and form views.
3. Benefits
Enhanced Security: Ensures only approved environments or locations can access Odoo, reducing risk.
Audit & Compliance Ready: Maintain visibility over user login history, enhancing internal oversight.
Easy to Configure: Straightforward setup through the user interface without complex coding.
4. Compatibility & Licensing
Supported Odoo Versions: Available for Odoo 12.0 through 18.0, including Odoo 17.0.
License: Distributed under the Odoo Proprietary License v1.0 (OPL-1).
